Courtyard by Marriott Rockford

Nice room, clean and extra towels already there. Only downfall is no complimentary breakfast even though they tell you the times that breakfast is served, they don't mention that it's paid and over priced. We were on 3rd floor, there are only 3 floors, however it sounded like there were herds of cattle running around upstairs and outside room in the hallway. Very noisy neighbors i guess... not really sure what was happening as it was after 11pm

I recently moved from IL to KY but had to have surgery in IL since I was already an established patient. My husband and I stayed for a week. They provided us with a room on the first floor and close to an exit. The entire staff especially Alyssa went above and beyond making our stay comfortable and accommodating to my needs. I normally stay at a Hampton but the service they provided made us enjoy the Courtyard so much better. I have already went back and will continue to do so when I return for future follow up appointments.

I noticed that some reviewers left some negative feedback about the rooms. Yes the rooms aren’t modern but they are clean and spacious and the fact that you can get a room with a balcony overlooking a secluded courtyard with trees and brick work is very lovely. The staff has been spectacular, especially Matt. Matt was the Supervisor that checked me in last night. Matt was super accommodating and nice - just authentically nice, the type of nice that America was built on. Matt, you are fantastic and I am sure your teammates would agree. Thanks for everything and as a Platinum member with Marriott, you have made my stay fantastic so thanks again.

Great place! Rooms are a little outdated and have no USB charge ports on the table lamps, but they were clean and smelled decent. The lobby is great with a mini restaurant and bar. The bar tender is a sweet lady and very attentive. Pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone.

I like the older vibe in the hotel! The bathroom in my room actually has a door with a knob instead of a loud sliding door. Room is clean. Front desk staff are nice. Unfortunately, doors to individual rooms are so heavy that they slam, but I'm sure I was just as guilty about waking someone up when I came in as my neighbor was. My room came with a microwave that modern Marriotts don't seem to include, and a mini-fridge that continuously runs instead of a timer. To be fair to Marriot, I didn't make use of the microwave this stay but I usually miss it when I'm staying in an updated room. One negative aspect is the AC runs a little loud. If you're a patron who can't handle noise, don't stay here. But otherwise, the rooms are clean, the staff are nice, and I'd use this particular hotel again if I returned to the area.

This hotel is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. The manager provides exceptional service and genuinely cares about both the guests and the hotel. She goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable.

I cannot say enough about the kind, caring, generous staff at this hotel. We came from out of state to be close to our hospitalized daughter. I mentioned it to the woman who checked me in (Colleen?) and from then on everyone at reception asked how our daughter was doing whenever I came and went. I'd booked a AAA rate, the least expensive I could find, but when I came in the second day the manager, Magnificent Maggie, was on duty. She asked if I had the hospital rate. I didn't know there was one! She retroactively changed my rate (a savings of about 40%) and told me that when we came back for the next round of surgeries, to be sure to ask for the hospital rate. The entire front desk team, the wonderful woman working in the bistro in the evenings, Josh who patiently showed me several rooms so I could be sure they didn't smell like smoke (I'd had a bad experience at a nearby hotel that I immediately left) the maintenance and housekeeping team -- all were totally focused on providing the most welcoming experience for their guests. We've already booked a return trip and decided we will always stay at a Marriott brand hotel in our future travels.
